Best Academic Record of 2017
We have reasons to celebrate these days. Dr. Alberto Ortiz-Vigón, medical director of Ortiz-Vigón Clinic – PerioCentrum Bilbao, has recently received the Extraordinary Doctorate Award for Best Academic Record of 2017 by the Complutense University of Madrid with the highest possible grade (97’3). Be reminded that Dr. Ortiz-Vigón, periodontics and implants specialist, got the Excellent Cum Laude qualification for his defence of he doctoral thesis in last July. This are great news for all the team of Ortiz-Vigón Clinic. We are really happy for you doctor, congratulations Alberto!
The article about Dr. Ortiz-Vigón’s conference at EAO-SEPES is published
On a separate issue, last October part of the doctors team of Ortiz-Vigón Clinic – PerioCentrum Bilbao as well as some other PerioCentrum doctors attended the relevant international congress EAO-SEPES Joint Meeting 2017. This is one of the most important events in the world on implantology, periodontics and oral health and it gathers together the leading professionals and specialists from the sector. In fact, Dr. Alberto Ortiz-Vigón participated as keynote speaker in the Main Auditorium of the congress. More than 4,000 people attended conference about “Flap design based on peri-implant defect characteristics” by Ortiz-Vigón Clinic – PerioCentrum Bilbao’s clinical director.
With regards to the congress, EAO (European Association for Osseointegration), has published in its May issue the article about the conference carried out by Dr. Ortiz-Vigón in the mentioned event. The prestigious magazine gathers together a summary of the 20 main keynotes which took place in Madrid, including the speech of Dr. Ortiz-Vigón.
EAO’s Education Program
The renowned entity for osseointegration offers an international education program. A three-year training program for dentists that was launched the previous summer. The fifth module was held at the Complutense University of Madrid and Dr. Ortiz-Vigón has been pare of the academic board together with Dr. Eduardo Montero (PerioCentrum Madrid) and other reknowned odontologists.
Dr. Ortiz-Vigón gave two conferences on both Friday and Saturday, “Management of surgical complications” and “Immediate implant placement and simultaneous augmentation” Furthermore, he participated in a live surgery. Here you have some pictures:
