Due to the official calendar of United Nations, today 5th September is the International Charity Day. As the international organization explains on its webiste, charity may be powerful enfgine for dialogue, comprehension, solidarity and development; and “eradicating poverty in all its forms and dimensions, including extreme poverty, is the greatest global challenge and an indispensable requirement for sustainable development”. Therefore, we would like to take the opportunity to invite you to Smile is a Foundation‘s fundraising cocktail.
One organization, many projects and uncountable illusions
This non-profit foundation fosters, organizes and coordinates projects related to humanitarian aid in the biosanitary field. Smile is a Foundation aims to build up actions in the fields of cooperation and international development in developing countries. It is our Foundation’s desire to meet the needs of most vulnerable people with no access to free healthcare. After many expeditions on the field, doctros have treated more than 10,000 patients and carried out more than 25,460 odontology treatments. In 2015, they added visual health service and they have checked the vision of more than 2,000 people and they have given more than 2,640 pair of prescription glasses and sunglasses to the local population, a population which has no access to neither oral nor ophthalmologic health system service.
One action can make the difference
However, to continue with the organization’s activity in situ, it is necessary to raise funds that enable the expedition’s completion. For this reason, next 29th September will be held in Madrid a charity cocktail to raise funds which will have its doors open for anyone who wants to collaborate with the project and help people from Zimbabwe.
