Why did you choose this profession?

I wanted to study Odontology since I was a little kid, I guess it was because of my visits to the orthodontist. My marks were not high enough to study this degree at university so I ended up studying Chemistry. However, some years later, I decided to study an academic module on Dental Hygiene.

Which three qualities must have someone whose job is the same as yours?

Patience, communication, continuous learning. Though, I cannot avoid adding another qualitiy to the list: observation capacity. Being aware of the details is crucial in our daily work.

How is a workday for you at the clinic?

I come early in the morning, before the workday starts, because I like to prepare the cabinet with calm. After that, I review the files of the patients I am going to be with during the day so I can previously have everything I need. I consider this preparation very important, it is essential to organize yourself to receive our patients on time, which is one of our priorities.

On the other hand, I try to make the patient feel at ease. And even if some of them can not avoid being nervous, I try to convey a sense of tranquility and above everyhing, that we are not in a hurry.

Which is the major satisfaction of working at Ortiz-Vigón Clinic?

Being not only with great professionals, but also with great people.

How differs this clinic from the rest?

We aim to make the patients feel unique and special, we listen to them and we try to find the best solution to their problem.

Actually, my advice to them is to take care of their teeth and mouth, but without becoming obsessed or getting overload. Sometimes, results can’t immediately be seen, but they should have patience and keep calm. After all, that is the reason we are here, to guide them on the process.
